Michael C. Weisburger, MD

Hand and Upper Extremity

Practice focus:
Dr. Weisburger treats the upper extremity from the shoulder to the hand and everything in between. His specialties include caring for carpal tunnel and nerve disorders, arthritis, trauma, tendon injury, Dupuytren’s disease, and upper extremity joint injury.

Of note:
Dr. Weisburger is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and eligible for his Certificate of Additional Qualification in Hand Surgery.

Education:
Dr. Weisburger earned his undergraduate degree from Case Western Reserve University, his medical degree from University of Maryland, and completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He went on to complete a fellowship in hand surgery at SUNY Stonybrook in New York. During this fellowship, he gained significant experience with complex upper extremity trauma, microvascular surgery, and non-operative management of Dupuytren’s disease under the guidance of renowned Dupuytren’s expert Dr. Lawrence Hurst.

Fun fact:
Dr. Weisburger enjoys running, cycling, swimming, rock climbing and spending free time going on local family adventures and hikes.

Dr. Weisburger is originally from Annapolis, Maryland. He moved to the Cleveland area in 2015 with his wife, 3 children, and golden retriever.
