John S. Bucchieri, MD

Hand and Upper Extremity

Practice focus:
Dr. Bucchieri cares for the upper extremity from the shoulder to the hand and everything in between. His specialties include hand and upper extremity disorders, carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, arthritis, trauma, fracture care, and shoulder arthroplasty including reverse total shoulder replacement.

Of note:
Dr. Bucchieri is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and holds a special board Certificate of Added Qualification in Hand Surgery.

Education:
Dr. Bucchieri earned his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and his medical degree from Columbia’s College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. He completed his orthopaedic residency at the New York Orthopaedic Hospital at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center followed by a fellowship in hand, microvascular, and upper extremity surgery at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Fun fact:
Dr. Bucchieri is an avid trail runner, swimmer, and lover of outdoor sports. He enjoys traveling and visiting National Parks to go hiking.

Dr. Bucchieri grew up on Cleveland’s east side. He lives in Pepper Pike with his wife and dogs. He has 2 grown children.
